Adopted background

  Since kynol is a thermosetting resin fiber, it doesn’t melt, and there is no risk of burns due to dripping during flame contact, making it suitable as a material for heat-resistant protective clothing and protective equipment.
  In fact, it has been adopted as a material for fireproof clothing and arc-resistant clothing for electrical work.On the other hand, it has the disadvantage that it can’t be dyed, so it is used for high-level protective applications , such as NFPA 70E Category 3 and Category 4, where protective performance is more important than appearance.
